Finally, finally, FINALLY: the idea of blockchain helping create a more ethical world is catching on with traditional media outlets.
CNN Business’ Neil Lewis shared a piece today about consumers becoming more interested in food origins and ethical business, driven by blockchain technologies.
The article shares examples of areas in which blockchain might solve ethical problems: illegal fishing, forced labor, modern slavery, human rights abuses, food fraud, and a lack of accountability for bad business practices.
And to echo Dermot O’Gorman, CEO of World Wildlife Fund Australia: “it’s no magic bullet. But it is a tool that helps stamp out slave trade.”
